Veiled in Plain Sight - Tacit Contemporary Art

Described by Eugene von Reisberg as ’innovative and inventive’ (Arts Diary 365), T.J.Bateson’s new exhibition Veiled in Plain Sight continues his exploration of identity and sexuality. Connecting to his past aesthetic and reaching deeper beneath the skin of the artist, the concept of self remains hidden, veiled in plain sight.

Bateson’s own history of marks and tone enter his imagery, providing a link between the temporal self, the sexual and the creative. Through the media of photography, painting and drawing, he confronts his own strength and weakness, sadness, tenderness, desire and acceptance.
