Sphere - T J Bateson Studio Gallery
Spheres’is T J Bateson’s latest exhibition. Following his successful foray into the photographic medium, this latest exhibition is a return to painting, drawing and printmaking but which, at the same time, brings to the forefront media previously lurking behind his photographic images of self. This exhibition is both large in scope and format, filling the space with rhythmic patterns that simultaneously challenge the eye yet induce a sense of contemplation and wonderment. A surface texture that is alluring, decorative and seductive; a low tonal range that is quiet, understated and mediative; a body of work that is layered, veiled and patterned.
