Current exhibition Temporality
The paintings and drawings allude to the conditions of Nature: stormy and windswept skies, seascapes, open hilltops, closed valleys.
Harmonious and subdued colour along with the activity and drama of the paint itself draw us into the work.
Tim returns to the gallery following last year’s acclaimed Pixel. His previous solo exhibitions include Horsham Regional Art Gallery, City of Glen Eira Gallery, 69 Smith St, Guildford Lane Gallery and fortyfivedownstairs.

But in Temporality, Tim has returned to exploring abstraction and a more philosophical bent to his musings in his art practice. Elements from these landscapes are used as a language to reflect a metaphysical accumulation of actions and reactions.
Once we are lured into a reflection of these elemental forces we are then tempted to think about our own place within them. Tim’s work suggests to us that we not only contemplate the physical and material but also that which is inexplicable: the presence of the spiritual as well.
Thus the abstract landscape becomes a metaphorical mirror to understand ourselves, veiled though it is.
